The name `Aquamarine; derives from Latin, and means “water of the sea”. Early sailors and fishermen used it as protection, for safe travel by boat, and for luck in catching fish. Belonging to the Beryl family of gemstones, alongside Emerald and Morganite, Aquamarine ranges in hue from the deepest teal to the palest of blues.
This beautiful gemstone is known for its calming and soothing properties, encouraging peaceful and clear communication. It is the birthstone for March.
