Tanzanite is a lilac/blue semi-precious gemstone that is said to be 1000 times rarer than diamonds. This is due to the fact that it is only found in one very small area of the world (in the Simanjiro District of Manyara Region in Tanzania). Tanzanite promotes stillness, and quiet strength, releasing stress and anxiety. It is one of December's birthstones.
