Unique to New Zealand, the Tui bird is a boisterous and colourful character, feeding on nectar and singing complicated songs throughout forested New Zealand. It is recognisable for the white feathery tuft under its beak, and its iridescent green/ blue/ black feathers.
Sterling silver feather (5mm x 32mm), hand painted with porcelain paint in irridescent blues and greens. Soldered to an 8mm sterling silver lapel pin with a sterling silver pinch closure. The porcelain paint is water and scratch resistant.
Please note: The gap between the feather and the closure is 4mm, so this pin is best worn with thicker material.
