Chrysoprase used to be referred to as ""the stone of Venus,"" and was often used by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians to make seals, signets, jewellery and other ornamental objects because of its beautiful, vivid green colour. Chrysoprase is part of the chalcedony family, and appears to glow, due to the small amount of water it contains. The water gives chrysoprase a milky iridescence, where its glow appears within the stone rather than on its surface.
Chrysoprase is the semi-precious birthstone alternative to Emeralds for May. Believed to bring good fortune, this gorgeous green stone alleviates depression, manifesting optimism, joy, and happiness for its wearer.
My little Rosehips can now be your own tiny talisman, bringing you all of Chrysoprase's joy and good fortune.
Solid recycled studio solid 9k gold Rosehip caps over round Chrysoprase gemstones (4mm). Hanging from gold filled ear hooks. Approximately 2cm in length (handmade, so this measurement will vary slightly).

Please note:
Lilygriffin jewellery is dainty and delicate, so care must be taken when wearing and storing it.
Please do not wear while exercising, swimming, gardening, showering, cleaning or sleeping. Store in a soft protective pouch or box out of direct sunlight and away from moisture, excessive heat or cold. Please do not store in the bathroom. Avoid contact with household chemicals, perfumes, creams, and hairspray/gels.
I would be delighted if you wanted to wear my jewellery everyday, but please be aware that you will be able to enjoy your handpainted pieces longer if they are not worn on a day to day basis.
