Māori admired the diminuitive Kōtare (Sacred Kingfisher) for its alert sentry, quickly diving from a lofty perch to attack prey in a sudden blur.  These watchful guardians of the forest have brilliant electric blue, green and creamy yellow feathers.

My little diving Kōtare sits on a sterling silver open band (2mm thickness). 

The ring band is set at 17mm diameter (size N), but can be gently adjusted up or down a size or two.  If you know your ring size, I can adjust it for you prior to sending.

I would be delighted if you wanted to wear my jewellery everyday, but please be aware that you will be able to enjoy your handpainted pieces longer if they are not worn on a day to day basis.
