Pearls are the oldest known gem and have been used in jewellery and gift giving for centuries. Pearls were knotted on silk thread to stop the pearls from scratching against each other and damaging the nacre. The knots also prevented whole strings of expensive pearls being lost if the silk thread snapped. My pearl necklaces follow this tradition of hand knotting- each pearl is threaded carefully on 100% silk and knotted secured in place.
Cream keshi pearls with beautiful luster are hand knotted onto Jade coloured 100% pure silk thread. Finished with silver French wire and sterling silver toggle clasp with little leaves.
The necklace measures approximately 41cm (including toggle clasp). Each pearl ranges from 5-10 mm.
Silk thread is incredibly strong, but can snap if excessive force is used. Please be gentle to avoid breakage.
Please do not wear while exercising, swimming, gardening, showering, cleaning or sleeping. Store in a soft protective pouch or box out of direct sunlight and away from moisture, excessive heat or cold. Please do not store in the bathroom. Avoid contact with household chemicals, perfumes, creams, and hairspray/gels.
